About us
Monday Lectures are a masters student led lecture programme operating from the Faculty of Art, Music & Design (KMD) at the University of Bergen. The lectures are a public platform combining external guest lecturers and professors of the faculty. Monday Lectures aim to create a diverse programme of lectures exploring a wide range of disciplines and research topics.
Lectures typically take place on Mondays from 4.30 - 6.30pm at Knut Knaus Auditorium, Møllendalsveien 61 or on Zoom in Spring 2021. However, Monday Lectures may also take place on different days of the week! Please keep up to date with our events through the calendar and our Facebook page, you can also follow us on instagram @kmdmondaylectures.
The Monday Lectures programme is currently organised by Matias Grøttum, Siavash Kheirkhah and Sasha Azanova.

Access to the lectures
Our live lectures are always open to anyone! In other words, you are welcome to join us, whether you are affiliated with KMD or not. No registration is needed and participation is, of course, free of charge. You will find information on how to join the lectures in our calendar or on social media.
Our most recent recorded lectures are in open access and can be enjoyed by anyone. However, historically the lecture archive was meant to be limited to the KMD's community of staff and students, which means that currently you can only access the majority of our lectures with a link and a password. If you are a student or a staff member and would like to check out password-protected lectures, e-mail us from your @uib address.
Suggestions?
If you would like to suggest a lecturer or want us to document a lecture that is of interest to the KMD community, please get in touch!
